NHPCO is the largest nonprofit membership organization devoted exclusively to the promotion of hospice care in America. * Hospice: A philosophy of care. The hospice philosophy recognizes death as the final stage of life and seeks to enable patients to continue an alert, pain-free life so that their last days may be spent with dignity and quality of life.
** Palliative Care: Medical care/treatment that focuses on reducing the severity of symptoms, rather than trying to provide a cure. The goal is to prevent and relieve suffering and to improve quality of life for people facing serious illness.

Cancer Hope Network is a not-for-profit organization that provides free and confidential one-on-one support to cancer patients and their families. We provide that support by matching cancer patients and/or family members with trained volunteers who have themselves undergone and recovered from a similar cancer experience.Through this matching process, we strive to provide support and hope, to help patients and family members look beyond the diagnosis, cope with treatment, and start living life to its fullest once again.
