October 30, 20210

Ten years ago, The Pacific Mesothelioma Center started the “Walk for Mesothelioma” to put a spotlight on this rare cancer, its insidious cause, the patients and their family members whose stories were altered because of it, and the deep need to expand research to better treat it. This event has grown exponentially in these last ten years, going from eighty walkers to hundreds of walkers, raising a historic high of $528,000 for research in 2020, and since shifting to a virtual model raising mesothelioma awareness globally.

This year The Pacific Mesothelioma Center hosted the 10th Annual Walk for Mesothelioma on October 24th virtually, with walkers joining us from all over the world including Saudi Arabia, Austria, the UK, Northern Ireland, and all over the United States. In addition to raising mesothelioma awareness supporters collectively raised $220,000 for mesothelioma research.

The last ten years have been a beautiful reminder as to how powerful we are as a community and how much we can accomplish together. We hope you will continue to help us make a difference in these next ten years to come.
