Christina McSherry: Marketing Coordinator
Christina joined the Pacific Mesothelioma Center at the Pacific Heart Lung & Blood Institute as a Marketing and PR Assistant in September of 2015. After relocating to Los Angeles from Boston the previous year Christina ran the press relations and marketing for The Collective Studio’s spring production of “Tape” by Stephen Belber.
An avid traveler and reader Christina loves exploring new cities and experiencing different cultures . She has been fortunate to live and study abroad in Italy and Ireland as well as travel to many beautiful and historical places. A lover of Russian history and literature she hopes to one day travel to Russia and visit the Romanov palaces as well as see all Seven Wonders of the World. Currently, she has only seen one so she has a bit to go!
Christina studied International Affairs at Northeastern University where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in IA with a focus in Middle Eastern Studies. She completed her Masters at Northeastern University in Nonprofit Management with a focus in Global Studies. Since then Christina has worked in the development and marketing field of nonprofits for organizations ranging from environmental discourse to promoting greater cultural understanding in communities. She is excited to work for PHLBI and further the important cause the organization champions: advancing medical research that may lead to new treatments for chronic diseases.
