Greg Deblock, career pipefitter and business manager with local 290 in Portland, Oregon passed away on October 29 from mesothelioma at the age of 73. Greg was diagnosed on November 2, 2006 and had surgery on April 27, 2007, removing his lung. Unfortunately, the tumor spread to his abdomen after the surgery.
  
Greg is survived by his wife Kyung Deblock, sons Randy R. Deblock and John Deblock, duaghters Tyra S. Bliss (Deblock), Darla J. Deblock and Mary Perry (Deblock), ten grandchildren, two great-grandaughters and brother James N. Deblock. Memorials in Greg’s name can made to the Pacific Heart, Lung & Blood Institute, for research to find a cure for asbestos cancer.
